BOOK OF THE WEEK… If you enjoy zombie stories, then it doesn’t get any better than this! Written in a colloquial storytelling style, author Scarlet Le Clair makes this book flow so well that you won’t want to put down until the very last page! A much recommended read. Although its description is intriguing to say the least, it doesn’t do the story any justice!
As a Zombie Apocalypse begins, the government warns people to secure their homes and patiently wait to be saved. When help don’t seem to be coming, rations are low and things start getting desperate, George leaves his family and heads out to find supplies and maybe someone to help him and his family. Unexpectedly a local gang known as Deacon holds him captive, leaving George not only to fight against the zombies, but humans too. It’s now a fight against time as his family’s safety is on the line, until he escapes. A long journey home begins with multiple enemies in his path. Will he make it in time to save his family? Or will it be too late?
My final verdict is- if you want a fast moving page turner, then don’t miss out on GEORGE: THE LONG ROAD HOME (VOLUME 1). It’s available in e-book and paperback formats, as well as Kindle Unlimited, and is 112 pages.
